1999 HORSE, DONKEY, DOG, CAT - Noah's Ark exhibition via Sannio 24  MI

These series of large, luminous paintings, a collection of lamps manufactured by Slamp, represents a personal view of the animal Kingdom, which is the artist’s very own peculiar feature, is the subject of the luminous paintings, carried out by means of a specific technique.

Animals are a reference to human beings’ most istinctive and natural side: they are humanized, and appear as meditative beings, immersed in an Oriental-like atmosphere of basic colours.

NOAH’S ARK light painting collection conveys my personal vision of how animals are: from domestic animals to wild beasts, all represented, in luminous paintings hanging on the walls, as lively, slightly ironic, highly communicative beings, part of the our deepest imagination. They are seen as meditative and humanized figures in representations of the oriental type painted with basic colors. The Ark is a symbol of the covenant, of memory and of rebirth. It symbolizes the body and its qualities. The objects and houses are protected by this message: the old and new intimacy, a relationship of natural and universal understanding and understanding.
